Interesting projection about the U.S. population for people 65 and older

"Between 2006 and 2030 the U.S. population of adults aged 65+ will nearly double from 37 million to 71.5 million. " - U.S. Census Bureau, 2010

I consider this projection to be a wake-up call for all of us providing senior housing and care services.  It's time to prepare ourselves, our senior housing communities, and our country by turning up the standards of training,  increasing the level of recruiting for our industry and coming up with innovative solutions to grow our practices without compromising the standard of care.  We must find ways to continue to honor our aging population during this projected wave.  No doubt it will increase the demands and add pressure on our services.  These are exciting times because challenges like these elevate creative thinkers, problem solvers, and strong leaders.  Which one will you be?  Senior Living Link is my contribution.  What is yours?
